TV Truss Rigging for Planet Fitness Casula

Planet Fitness is an American fitness club franchisor and operator boosting 2039 locations worldwide and growing. It is one of the biggest fitness franchises by members and locations. One of its new locations in Sydney 2020 is Casula Crossroad. Like other Planet Fitness locations the Casula site features a massive 40 meters long truss for some 40 TV displays. This truss rigging job was taken care of by PHANTOS’ team of experienced riggers and installers.

The truss are suspended from ceiling purlins via 6mm stainless steel chains and then stablized using 3.2mm steel wire as guy ropes. The ceiling across the entire space ranges from 8meters to 6 meters so approxmately 150 meters of chains and 100 meters of wire ropes are needed for this job. A total of 16 drops of chains and 18 guy ropes were installed to allow the TV truss to sit approximately 3 meters above floor level. There are a few huge Big Ass fans nearby and in summer time they will be crank up to full speed and the wind load applied to the TV truss will be quite significant. The guy ropes our team put in ensures the TVs will not move in situations like this and guarantees the workout experience of gym customers.
