Bodyfit Auburn: Bringing Entertainment Lighting to Gym

Bodyfit’s first gym is located at Red Square, in Auburn. It’s a unique health club in Sydney since it boldly introduced entertainment lighting into gyms. The atmosphere created by lighting certainly gives this gym a WOW factor when customers walk in as well as when people are passing by.

Phantos supplied 36 of P18X8RGBW wide angle wash lights, 2 of 3W Kolo Phantom 3000 RGB Lasers, and 2 of XMLite Hotbeam Hybrid moving heads.

The 36 wash lights are used to provide a general colour wash to the whole venue. These lights come with a 40 degree angle lens allowing them to produce soft and rich colours throughout the venue with no bright spots. The 280W Hybrid moving heads are used to project custom gobos with a dynamic prism effect to two of the walls in the gym, while the lasers were occasionally used for events held in the gym.

Signal distribution is achieved via a set of Air DMX wireless DMX transmitters and receivers. Lighting effects were pre-programed in an Avolite Titan One software.
